Caring for a loved one with IDD is a journey of dedication that also requires balance. Our Respite services provide temporary, short‐term relief for primary caregivers, allowing families to recharge, attend to personal matters, or rest with the confidence that their loved one is safe and engaged in a supportive environment. Respite can be delivered in the family home, in the community, or in one of our residential settings—whatever works best for your family's needs.. We view respite not only as an essential relief for the family but also as an enriching experience for the individual—offering opportunities to build new relationships, try new activities, and enjoy a change of scenery in a safe, nurturing setting.

Respite is not a long-term placement or emergency shelter. It is a planned, short-term support no more than 6 hours per day (no overnight stays) that is designed to strengthen the family unit by providing caregivers with essential relief and helping individuals with IDD experience new opportunities in supportive environments.
