The Arc of Haywood County has one Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) called Woodlawn Group Home. This group home houses 5 individuals who require a higher level of care than our other homes. Woodlawn ICF is a comprehensive, 24‑hour active treatment community‑based facility operating within a licensed, structured residential environment. The program is specifically designed for individuals with complex medical, behavioral, or developmental needs that require intensive, ongoing 24/7 support. Our facility operates on the principle that meaningful progress is achieved through coordinated, evidence‑based interventions delivered by a multidisciplinary team.
Our primary objectives are to increase resident independence, enhance health and safety outcomes, and improve overall quality of life through individualized treatment planning. Each resident receives a comprehensive assessment that informs goal setting in areas such as self‑care skills, community integration readiness, behavioral health, medical stability, and social engagement. We establish clear, measurable benchmarks and systematically track progress to ensure accountability and continuous improvement in service delivery.
Woodlawn ICF is not a custodial care setting nor a nursing home. Individuals who reside here have active, goal‑directed support. Every interaction is purposeful, and the focus remains on progress, skill development, and movement toward greater independence.

Your gift provides the support, opportunities, and community people need to live full, independent lives.
